Ollie Baptism...

On March 16, Oliver was baptized at Faith Reformed Church. He wore a silk gown that Nona bought for him and of course he looked too too cute! (or should I say pretty) The guests included Nona and Grandpa Kev, Mimi and Papu, Grandma and Grandpa J, Uncle Tom, Aunt Melissa, Chloe and Ethan, Uncle Ken, Aunt Kim, Tyler and Ashley, Aunt Candy, Uncle Tom, Bailey and Kelsey, Uncle Jeremy, Grandpa Bill and Marcie, Aunt Becky, the Pomaranski Family, the Shotwell Family, and Meredith and Jagger Smith. Oliver slept through the actual ceremony and otherwise was happier than a clam in mud. Following the ceremony, we had everyone here for yummy Mexican food from Agave. We had a cross cupcake cake that was also delicious!!

Another Photo Shoot...

So Carrine and I went to Kristy's today to have yet another baby photo shoot. They just keep getting cuter!! Of course all of the babies are a bit younger than Ollie so they sit perfectly still while he just smiles and pulls on the other babies! Kristy also took photos of just Oliver since he had his outfit on from Carrine and he is six months. He is a charmer, that is for sure! The kids are really excited right now because their cousins are coming up for Oliver's baptism this weekend. We will also celebrate Ethan's birthday. We had another "Dolly Parton" moment last night. I was in the kitchen and I heard Scott laughing. Amelia had told Scott that "Dolly Parton had big ribs." So when she sees me said then said, "Mom, you know those things you nurse with? Hers are REALLY big..." Done for now. More to come soon!

Dolly Parton

Amelia and I went for a girls trip to Target while Isabelle was in school. I explained to her that she could get one thing. She initially had a dress up outfit in the cart, and then traded that for a barbie. As we were headed toward the front of the store, she spotted a cd with Dolly Parton on the cover. She immediately said "that's Dolly and she is on Hanna Montana. I want that." I tried to talk her out of it, knowing that she would not care for this music. However, she proceded to give me her Barbie back and was relentless. I finally gave in and figured I would let her figure it out. When we got to the car, we of course had to listen to the cd. The result? Amelia has been listening to that cd NON STOP since last Tuesday on her walkman. You can hear her in the back seat singing, "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene..." That cd was one of the best purchases yet. This photo is of the girls on Valentines Day 2008.

First Tooth...

Oliver decided that he would cut two teeth this week! Although very exciting, his Mama has not slept in two days and of course Daddy was gone for all of this. It has been a busy week: parent/teacher conferences, birthday parties and horse riding, amoung other things. Isabelle is in the highest reading level in her class and ALWAYS follows the rules (believe it or not). Her teacher also informed me that she is the only student in the class who will help the autistic child in her class without any prompting. Isabelle is very empathetic and selfless. Amelia is performing at a very high academic level (according to her teacher) and she has recommended that she start the reading process. She is having a bit of separation anxiety from me but it will pass. Preston has been saying the cutest things lately! Amelia was calling my name last night and he appearently assumed he was talking to her. He responded with "yes, dear." He also told Jaqueline that she was not supposed to use the remote controls for the tv because Daddy got them for Christmas from Santa Claus and they are very special! Lastly, while getting ready to go to the bus this morning, Isabelle and Amelia came into the bathroom holding hands. Isabelle says, "Mom, Amelia is going to ride the bus with me today and I will sit by her so she will not be scared." So, we took Amelia to the bus and Larry (the bus driver) agreed that was fine. She loved it...

little things they say...

So we were riding in the car the other day, just Scott, Preston and myself. Preston thinks that every yellow car he sees is Bumblebee (Transformers) so he always lets us know when we pass one. Preston sure enough tells us that he just saw Bumblebee pass us. So I ask him, "did Bumblebee wave to you?" At first he looked at me and thought about before responding, "Mama, Bumblebee does not have hands!" I guess when Bumblebee is a car he doesn't have hands. :) The next day Isabelle, Amelia and i were in the car. Isabelle was asking me the specifics about the various colors on the stop lights and what they mean when they are blinking. I explained it to her and she then said, "well mom when you are sitting at the blinking red light you could write a check or a grocery list if you need to get that done." How sweet!!
