Adoption

Life has gotten away from me this summer and so here I am trying to catch up! Many of you already know but some do not, that we are adopting a baby boy who is due Sept 5. It is quite a lengthy story but we have been so blessed to have this birth mom and now friend, fall into our lap. The connections are endless and this was obviously God's plan for us! Well, we had an ultrasound yesterday, and at 35 weeks gestation, the baby (Elijah) is estimated at 7.4 lbs. Yikes! Now, of course, these are not super accurate, can go a lb either way. However, even so, by the time he is born he could be over 9 lbs. So, we will see what the dr says Friday! We could not be more excited and the kids are over the moon about it. I will post more with all of our pics from this summer's events!!!!

First artwork

So I am finally putting a photo of Ollie's first picture he drew at school in January. We are not sure if he will be a lefty like his brother, but he sure likes to draw and he holds the pencil appropriately ALREADY! I must mention also that permanent markers are FAR from his reach! Yes, we have been there, done that...

Better late than never...

I am way behind in my blogging which, by the way, drives me CRAZY!!! It hangs over my head everyday and I just need to not focus so much on making it perfect! The end of the school year is busier than ever: Great Wolf Lodge with Amelia, Moomer's with Amelia and Preston, Sand Dunes with Isabelle, Skating competition, Cheerleading competition, dance recital, piano recital, and the list goes on!!! Yes, I will post the pics and details of these events! I have added a picture of Isabelle and her grandma J ( and grandpa J) at their "6th" and "66th" birthdays least year. My last post was of their birthdays this year and I do not have a pic of the two of them together!! So, this is a look back at the special party they had last year!!!

Isabelle is SEVEN!

Yes, my oldest daughter is seven years old. Her birthday was February 19 and I am way behind on my blogging. I just want to point out how special Isabelle's birthday was and why she is such a gift. Isabelle and her grandma J celebrate their birthdays in the same month: February. They share the same birthstone: Amethyst. But they also share something else. Grandma J turned 67 and Isabelle turned 7! Last year, it was the sixes, etc. This is a big deal for Belle. She looks so forward to having a birthday party with her to celebrate their same "numbers." Isabelle shares a special bond with grandma J. She went to visit during Spring Break and when she came back home she sobbed because she missed her so much. It is so nice to witness the closeness of the children to their relatives. They each seem to have unique bonds with different family members. It is just so cool to observe! Well, back to the birthday. Isabelle has matured. She has grown. She has found a true passion for piano (and is she ever good) and figure skating. She has a new found confidence. She has stacked hair. She loves Justice and Matilda Jane clothing. She is empathetic, compassionate, affectionate and intelligent. She has a lot of friends and she is a HUGE help with her brothers and sister. Isabelle has become a little lady. She makes her bed every morning now and she does not cause all of us to be late anymore. Nope. No more tantrums, sassing, yelling, etc. She is a really nice little girl to be around! She even apologizes voluntarily when she does do something hurtful. Yeah Isabelle! We are so proud and love you so much!!

Skating Show

So my little Isabelle, yes, the one who I always had to drag her to ballet, tennis, swimming, etc., and come crawling out of her shell and has two new loves in life. Number one: ice skating. Number two: piano. How excited am I???? More than you will ever know. Amelia loves skating, too, don't get me wrong. But, what DOESN'T Amelia like? The girl is going to have to start making some choices because mom cannot keep up. So, they had their holiday skating show. Now, do not get too excited, they were only in Basic 1. However, look how cute my little girls are! They were just thrilled to be out there!!

The Polar Express

Preston received a Polar Express Lionel train from his Papu last year and we were unable to set it up until this year. Preston had "begged" Scott for days to set up his train. Finally, the time came and it happened. I mean I have never seen that boy's light up as much as they did! It must have been 9:00 pm when the thing was finally chugging away with the smoke blowing and the horn sounding. Preston immediately had to call Papu and have him come over and see his train! The pictures say it all...

Jaworski Family Cruise 2008 Cont...

I know I am very late in posting this but better late than never, right? Things are crazy here, with illness of our little man. Anyway, I will post about that later. As I stated in a previous post, our family traveled to the Eastern Caribbean for a cruise in November. It was to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa Jaworski's 40th wedding anniversary. Oh boy, did they have fun!! I must say that I was a bit nervous since cruises are not my first choice of vacation and I was a bit on edge for the first part of the week. However, to spend A WHOLE WEEK with their cousins was my kids' ultimate dream. They had so much stinkin' fun and could not get enough of the pools, ocean, butterfly house, ice cream, endless food, Amelia and the "quarter" machine machines (yes, I did laundry while there), the gold by the inch, $10 purses, photo sessions (by far Isabelle's favorite...ha ha), and the list goes on! The time spent with their grandparents was priceless. To have that memory that many kids do not get. They are very lucky and someday they will truly appreciate that. The girls look so up to their cousins Chloe and Ashley and are becoming carbon copies. Isabelle is now doing her hair, matching her jewelry, etc. I cannot get enough of her "prissness" just like her mom! Amelia is not quite to that point yet! Preston wants Ethan to do what he likes and does not quite understand that a 6 year old is not quite at the same level as he is! Tyler and Ethan are very patient with Preston and try to include him whenever possible. :) Oliver just loves everyone, especially Uncle Ken. If you say "da da da da!!! Uncle Ken!!!!" he throws his arms in the air!! It is too cute. So, the trip held many memories for all of us and if the opportunities presents itself again someday, I am sure we will do this again!! Maybe Europe?
